The ES-335’s body is crafted with layered maple/poplar/maple for the top, back, and sides. It is coupled with a solid maple centre block to create the amazing sustain, warmth, and resonant tone that players crave in a semi-hollowbody instrument. The solid maple centre block also helps in controlling the unwanted feedback that often plagues full hollowbody guitars. The mahogany neck has a Rounded C profile that is extremely comfortable and easy to play. It’s not too large or too small, but “just right” for many players

It is capped with a rosewood fretboard with a 12” radius that makes it easy to play chords and bend strings without fretting out, and that is adorned with acrylic dot inlays, and equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets. A Graph Tech® nut and Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons help maintain tuning stability, while the nickel-plated ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and aluminium Stop Bar tailpiece anchor the strings solidly at the other end to deliver the outstanding sustain that the ES-335 is famous for. Gibson’s Calibrated T-Type humbucker™ pickups in the lead (bridge) and rhythm (neck) positions deliver a wide range of tones and further reinforce the ES-335’s exceptional versatility.

They are hand-wired to individual volume and tone controls with 500k potentiometers and Orange Drop® tone capacitors, along with a three-way pickup selector switch that lets you run either pickup individually or combine them at will in any ratio you desire since each is controlled by a separate volume knob. The control knobs are stylish black Top Hats with silver reflectors. A Gibson hard-shell case is also included to keep the ES-335 safe and secure when you’re on the way to your next gig.
